Dog Training
Training with Dog Psychology at the Heart of It
What is Dog Psychology and how does it differ from Dog Training? Dog training was created by humans to control dog behavior while dog psychology focuses on the body language and overall energy state of the dog. Dog training can allow a dog to be highly trained but still suffer behavioral issues while dog psychology deals with the underlying root causes of the dog's behavior. Dog training seeks to understand the dog's state of mind where dog psychology addresses what makes a dog tick-their instinctual nature. Dog Psychology is aimed at establishing Trust, Respect and Love within a dog's nature FIRST, and then adding obedience training second.
Lila works with dogs as young as 8 weeks and as old as 17 years (yes an old dog can learn new tricks!). Lila is relationship oriented in her training sessions and will teach you how your dog perceives you and its environment and forms their behavior off of it. Lila loves seeing the fast changes that can take place within a dog's behavior and witnessing an owner's relationship with their pup transform into an enjoyable, balanced and confident bond!
Every dog is set up on it's own training course based on individual needs, so please reach out to us to discuss the most suitable option for your dog. We offer individual sessions, board and train options, e-collar off leash adventure training, pack socialization sessions, in-your-home training sessions and more!

Daycare and Train - $145/day
Want your dog to have a fun daycare experience AND receive training on a topic of your choosing in the same day? Our Daycare and Train Program is designed with your dog’s physical, social and mental needs in mind. This program is highly individualized to suit you and your dog’s lifestyle and can focus on issues such as: leash pulling, impulse control, resource/toy/food guarding (low to moderate intensity), excessive jumping, excessive barking, crate training, house training, counter surfing, basic commands (sit, stay, down, place, etc.), manners around doors/ gates/thresholds and more. Each day focuses on one area of training and the length of the program will be suggested during our initial Meet and Greet Consult.
Approximate length of program will be suggested during our initial Meet and Greet Consult. Each Daycare and Train Day includes an owner recap at the end of the day (or at the end of the program if scheduling multiple days) as well as daily photos of your dog posted on our social media sites for you to view.
All sessions take place at Lila’s home. Dropoff pickup hours for daycare and train programs run 8:30-11am and 3–6pm.
Pack Socialization Board and Train - $235/day
Heighten your dogs social skills and ability to be confident within a group setting! Let us train your dog to relate to dogs of all different ages, breeds and sizes and learn to relax and trust the pack mentality. This is a great program if you feel your pup needs some extra tutoring in the socialization department :). This is a program that can build on itself and occur over several different trips if needed. Includes owner recap at end of stay.
Please note: while we do work with aggressive dogs at the owner’s home, we don’t accept aggressive dogs into the pack. Our Pack Socialization Program is an ideal for dogs who may be timid, shy, unsure of him/herself socially, multiple other dogs have reacted strangely and/or over reacted to your dog’s presence, your dog lacks confidence and/or over reacts in social settings.
Leash Reactivity Training - $235/day
This program is designed for dogs who lunge, pull, bark or snap at other dogs while on leash and is one of our most popular programs! Leash reactivity is very common in dogs but is also quite easy to address. Make your dog walks enjoyable, fun and confident. This is generally a 10 day ecollar program, and can take place either during overnight boarding or daycare. Includes a 90 minute recap session and daily pics of your dog posted of on our social media sites.
Board and Train - $235/day
This tailor made program is dependent on what issues you want your dog to overcome and how much time we have to work with them. Our Board and Train Program is a great option to allow your pup training while you’re on vacation! Like our Daycare and Train program, our Board and Train Program can build upon itself over time whenever you leave town. Our program is heavily rooted in pack leadership skills (for humans), so be prepared to learn some new skills to set your dog up for success at home! Depending on your goals and where your dog’s energy state is to start, we generally recommend a board and train program between 6-21 days. Because each pup is unique, we start by doing an in-person assessment (at our home). Each Board and Train Program includes a 90 minute review session at pickup, take home videos of your dog performing tasks correctly, multiple play sessions throughout the day, multiple one-on-one training sessions throughout the day and photos of your pup posted daily on our social media sites for you to view.
Please note: not all board and train programs require e-collar training. E-collars for our programs are sold separately.
E-collar Upkeep and Maintenance
